Grandala DOM (GD) for Sierra Chart

Background

Sierra Chart, while renowned for its robust capabilities, can sometimes come across as dated. Grandala DOM aims to refresh this experience by offering a suite of six custom studies explicitly crafted to augment the DOM (Depth of Market) on Sierra Chart.

Each component within this suite brings unique features that provide a modern and streamlined trading experience. Below you will find detailed descriptions of these innovative tools.

GD - Volume Profile

Sierra Chart's existing capabilities allow for Volume Profile functionality, but placing it within a DOM (Depth of Market) column on the right side has not been possible. The GD - Volume Profile, part of the Grandala DOM suite, addresses this specific requirement.

This custom study enables the Volume Profile to be displayed directly in any DOM column, enhancing the trading experience by consolidating essential information in one place. It's designed to respond to the specific needs of traders who require a more intuitive and efficient interface, allowing the Volume Profile to be accessible exactly where it's most useful.

GD - Scalper Orders

GD-Scalper Orders is a tool for Sierra Chart that allows handling orders directly in the PnL column or any other chosen column. It provides functions such as drag-and-drop order management, cancellation with Ctrl+click, and immediate visibility of order details. For those who have used similar features in platforms like Jigsaw, this tool offers a compatible experience within Sierra Chart.

Commands:

• Add Order: Click on either the buy or sell column.
• Move Order: Drag and drop the desired order.
• Cancel Order: Use Ctrl+click on the order to cancel.

Order Statuses:

• Green or Red (if using default colors): The order or orders are active.
• Blue: Indicates mixed types of orders at that price.
• Orange: Represents order or orders being dragged but not yet sent to the server.
• Gray: Shows an order update waiting for server confirmation.

Order Text:

• [type] + Q + [n]: The type will be either 'L' for limit orders or 'S' for stop orders. 'n' will be the approximate position in the queue for a resting order (0 for stop orders).
• M[n]: Indicates that there are multiple types of orders at the same price.

GD- Click to Price Orders

With the ability to select any DOM column, this tool manages the working limit or stop orders closest to the current price, allowing one-click order adjustments.

Commands

• Click (on selected DOM column): Move the closest order to the last traded price to the clicked-on price.
• Shift + Click (on selected DOM column): Move the furthest order from the last traded price to the clicked-on price.

This functionality provides quick and precise control for decision-making, enhancing efficiency in trading.

Velocity Trails, inspired by the momentum tails feature from Jigsaw but with added refinement, is created to enable fast price movement tracking.
